Drown-Free Guahan
(DFG) Initiative
In an effort to combat Guam's devastating statistic of at least one fatal drowning a month, Amphibious & our community partners have launched the Drown-Free Guåhan (DFG) Initiative. Summer Registration opens on June 21, 2024 for basic 30-minute training sessions between 8:00-10:00 a.m. on July 5th, 12th & 13th, 2024. A $20 registration fee will be assessed per child/parent pair or adult participant and sessions will be held in Tumon Bay.
The Drown-Free Guåhan (DFG) Initiative is brought to our community by Amphibious, Top Model Fashion, Micronesian Air Cargo Services (MACS) Guam, Shell Foody's, Law Firm of BX&B - Baumann, Xu and Black, and in partnership with the Cycles Plus Kawasaki, Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB), Pacific Islands Club - Guam, iCAN Resources, Century 21 Realty Management Co., and Nissan Guam. DFG is supported by the KUAM Careforce, Fökai Industries, Guam Fire Department, Tano & Tasi Water Safety, Musashi671, and Swim League Philippines (SLP).
