Drown-Free Guahan
(DFG) Initiative
In an effort to combat Guam's devastating statistic of at least one fatal drowning a month, Amphibious & our community partners have launched the Drown-Free Guåhan (DFG) Initiative. Spring Registration opens on March 14, 2025 for basic 30-minute training sessions between 8:00-10:15a.m. on March 29, April 12th and April 19th, 2025. A $20 registration fee will be assessed per child/parent pair or adult participant and sessions will be held in Tumon Bay.
The Drown-Free Guåhan (DFG) Initiative is brought to our community by Amphibious Aquatics in partnership with the Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB), Hyatt Regency Guam, Rotary Club of Tumon Bay, Bank of Guam, Cars Plus, Cycles Plus/Kawasaki, Law firm of BXB - Baumann, Xu, & Black, David Beaver and Associates of Raymond James, and with support from the KUAM Careforce, Fökai Industries, Guam Fire Department, Tano & Tasi Water Safety, Guåhan Bodyboarders, Inc. and Swim League Philippines (SLP).
